LIVE LIKE A PARISIAN
LANDGOED HET ROODE KOPER | July 6, 2017
Hi guys, how ya doin’? It has been a while since I wrote my last article on the blog and gosh, how I feel like talking to you in this new post! So much is happening and I still have so much to share. The main focus is more on my Youtube and Instagram at the moment, but of course I still enjoy sitting down here and chat with you guys. Because this is where it all began right?
Before I start talking about today’s subject, I want to say something about this amazing printed suit – and you know how much I love them – from CIRCE the Label. Because seriously, how awesome is this? CIRCE the label is a brand based and created in Amsterdam, which all started with the idea to create a fashionable but formal suit for woman. YES to that! There are 4 suits in their collection for this season, but I am sure there is more to come for the brand. Okay with that been said, let’s start talking about How to live like a Parisian, since we have a good start from now!
Everybody admires the lifestyle of a Parisian. Their style, their flawless looks; just everything they do. Believe me, you don’t have to live in Paris to act like one. With these small tips below you can easily become one yourself. Read on and let me know what you are already doing good!
Indulge regularly what you enjoy
I hear people too often complaining that they do things they don’t like. Okay, we all have to do the dishes and clean the house, but quit with these unlikeable things whenever you can. Think about what you really enjoy doing and indulge that in your life regularly. Think about a daily gym session – which you may not like at first but you will when continuing. I know that -, a weekly beauty/spa hour or reading books.
Wear what you like whenever you like
Talking about things you enjoy, I guess you like fashion if you’re reading this. A Parisian really has this ‘Je ne said quoi’ style, which everybody adores for centuries. The secret is; they wear what they like and feel good in, whenever they like to wear it. So don’t be afraid to go out in that printed suit. If that is what makes you happy, than wear it and rock it!
Accept your flaws
We all have our flaws, even Parisians. But the secret is that they rock their flaws and so should we all do it. I know my strengths but also my ‘weaknesses’. These two I like to combine and empower them until I feel confident with how I look. I accept that I don’t have the skinniest legs and that baby skin. Yet still, I try to rock it and act like Kim K with hormonal issues haha!
Appreciate the small things
Something I always, really always, try to do is to appreciate the small things and be grateful for everything life brings me. There are so many things to appreciate. Be glad your mom called to ask how you are, even when the timing is bad. Be happy when you can get a little bouquet of flowers with discount or even be happy with fresh cleaned blankets (to be totally honest with you, this is one of my favourite things in the world haha)
Choose friendships wisely
I always was so insecure about not having so many friends. Compared to my brother who can fill a room with friends, it’s nearly a table by me. But when I discovered that even Parisians don’t have that many friends, I finally saw that it isn’t really a problem. I actually have to be grateful for the friends I have. I choose them with my heart and I know they’re there for me. So choose your friends wisely. Having a small group of people around you isn’t bad at all!
Create rituals you stuck to
I love my rituals. My masks in the morning before I open my laptop, or a full spa session on a lazy Sunday. My afternoon workout and yes, even my washing day. I think everybody has their rituals and keep going with that! They give you positive energy and relaxes you. Nothing more important than thinking about yourself now and then. So keep up the work!
Be proud of yourself and your believes – show them!
I think this is the best one to end this post with. After all, we should be proud of ourselves. Of who and what we are, what we believe in and what we do. And there is nothing wrong with sharing this to the world. If everybody loves theirselves and respect one and another, how much more beautiful would the world be. So yes, live like a Parisian. Keep your head, heels and standards high!
