How sustainable can you make your outfit if you pick a 30 years old blazer from your mom’s wardrobe and rock it like it’s new? Exactly. During the Holidays, I spend a lot of time at my parents place for two reasons. 1. Of course it was the time to be together with your loved ones and there is no one I love more than my family. 2. Amsterdam was just over-crowded with tourists that it made me literally cry. So spending all this time at home, what do you do? Yes, look into all the corners of the house if you can find something to steal.
You can imagine that when I saw this blue blazer, I totally fell in love. Since my mom didn’t wore it for ages, it was my duty to re-wear it again. Some of you may know that my mom is my style icon. She not only thought me how to style and wear fashion, but also love it.
A few days ago I read an interesting article about someone who was also going through her fashionable mom’s wardrobe. The conclusion was that, no matter if something if from H&M and D&G, she would always pick out the best stuff and treat it with equal values. That is exactly my mom as well and how I try to live. Because no matter if a piece of clothing was super expensive of inexpensive, if you treat it with the same care, you can enjoy it for years, such as I will do now with my old but gold blue blazer!
