THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DREAMING AND DOING

My parents sometimes get tired of it. I still hear them saying ‘Floor, you have to learn to leave that pink cloud you too often live on and get back to reality’. Guess they’re right at some point. I mean, I can’t be a millionaire and buy myself a hundred Chanel bags if I sleep all day. But let’s be honest, I am still allowed to dream that right? Here’s the thing; dreaming and actually doing it is a big difference. So no Mom and Dad, I will stop dreaming about becoming a millionaire while sleeping and doing nothing (but how f*cking cool would it be if I did?!).

From this point of view you can probably tell as well that I am a big dreamer. Love to chase and fight for what I want. Sometimes I just have too many ideas to make them all come true. Maybe I should start a company where you can buy ideas from, that would be a deal. Ok, just kidding. The lesson I want to talk about today, is how to change your dreams into reality. Into doing it for real. I often get emails and interviews from young people, asking me what to do when you want to start blogging, or asking about any tips. The only tip I could give you is to only do things you’re passionate about. If you dream about something and can make it into reality, than nothing should stand in your way.

So here I am, still not a millionaire after my 8 hours sleep last night, thinking about how I can transform my ideas into work. Into actual money. Because nothing should be impossible – besides the dream I just mentioned or owning a pink unicorn who brings you to your prince frog and who build you a frozen castle. That would be ridiculous. Once I read this quote which said; Get up, Dress up and Never Give Up. And that’s how your dreams should be. If you do it, you will make your parents proud for sure.

  1. Heh, I’m a huge dreamer too and my parents have been telling me the EXACT same thing so many times :”Get back to reality from your constant daytime dreaming.” :D I guess that I’ll never change and most possibly I don’t want to change… I mean, life without dreams and some bit “imaginary world” ain’t really a life completely lived when it comes to me. :D
You’re looking gorgeous in this Parisienne chic outfit! I’m looooving your boots and hat!

  2. There is definitely a struggle to make dreams a reality, especially when there is money involved. But hey… hard work always pays off. As far as your ensemble is concerned I am addicted. SO bold and chic and I love the pop of color from the lipstick and boots!

  5. I think it is great to walk around with a pink cloud and you can definitely never have too many dreams. Like you say though, if you really want your dreams to come true it can take hard work but it would be worth it in the end :) x

  6. My mom says the same… María you work too much, you should leave blogging and focus on your real job and enjoy your free time. However, I think that we have grown up on a more difficult period, where young people is asked to do much more to get a little bit. I guess that we can’t leave with poor things, and we are fighting for a great future :)

  8. Hey, congratulations for you work and persistence.
I believe that you are in the correct way, and I strongly believe your next step is to transform your ideas into money. Actually, create a business model. Maybe you should create something, share with your friends, improving it even more, and then put into practice. There are excellent books about entrepreneurship that can inspire yourself. I work with business and helped some friends to create their own business plans. If you want a indication of a book or any help, pls let me know.
    Have a great weekend!
