TAKE A HOLIDAY IN JANUARY 2019

What’s the best year to start the new year? Are we all running to the gym or is a detoxing cleanse the best way to start 2019 in a relaxed way? Nope, none of that. It’s becoming more and more popular to take a holiday in January and here’s why.

If you think about it, the transition of the year is little more than counting from 2018 to 2019. Other than that, life just goes on. With the holidays over, we return to work or college and we’re back in the rut we only managed to escape for several days. There is no real change that you can feel mentally.

A real holiday?

Like we said, there isn’t much of a mental change, because nothing’s really that different. Another day, another dollar. Now, you can change that by taking a little break or a mini-vacation if you will. It doesn’t have to be long, but taking one on the second of January is the preferred method. Because, well, who isn’t a little sore and hungover on the first.

So, you’re probably wondering what this mini-holiday entails. It’s nothing fancy really. Sure, you could leave the country in search of a warmer destination. However, lying on the beach isn’t the exact point of taking a break. Of course, it can be very satisfying.

Look, if you want to spend the first days of January on Hawaii, we’re not stopping you. But for those who don’t have this money to spend, we say this. Don’t go to work yet. It can be really valuable to just do something completely else. Just to take your mind of off things. Use this time to recharge. Go and take a nice hike with your friends or boyfriend. Do some of the things you still wanted to do in 2018, but never got around to. It’s all fine.

And when you come back…

Don’t forget, this is just for the first couple of days. So when you come back, you’ll feel like the year has actually been renewed. You walk into the office for the first time in 2019 and you go and kick more ass than you’d usually do. Just because you can feel more relieved than last year.

And if you want to start the year even more productive? Then head on over here and read this article where we give you a couple of practicle tips to make 2019 the best year yet.
