I never thought I was going say it, but I am becoming a real fit girl. Yep. From a person who hated all kind of sports because she actually sucked at everything, she is now becoming a sport addicted fit girl. Wow. Have to admit that any type of ball related or team sport is still a problem haha. Since this year I found out that the gym isn’t that bad if you hold on your breath for a while to not smell the sweat. I actually found some things I really like to do. I became quite good in cardio since I go spinning 2-3 times a week and even weight training is in my daily routine. Especially now since my condition is better than ever, I start liking it more and more. But as you know, my favorite thing is kicking some asses in a kickboxing class.
I wrote some posts about the subject earlier and even shared two videos – which you can all check here. This is all about why I like it so much and how my workout looks like. Today I want to share the next episode of my training with Vechtsporten Benelux. This time I take you to the Fysiomed Sport Medical Centre in Amsterdam for a Sunday morning workout.
With my normal training sessions, I was used to fight with someone else and train on each other. You have seen this in the boxing video as well. In this post workout we did something else as we were using boxing bags for the training. I did that before by myself for a little ‘aggression therapy’, but this was the first time someone actually told me what to do on a boxing bag. I can tell you, it is much harder that it looks! Maybe even harder than a training with someone from your own level, since the boxing bag is giving a really heavy resistance. With this post I actually want to show you how easy you can start boxing. You don’t need a sparring partner to start. Just put those gloves on and start boxing!
If you want to get really tired, you need to try my favorite part which is kicking. I love to put all my breath and energy in the highest, fastest and hardest kick I can give. While a non-professional boxing partner will probably be out of breath after one kick, you can go on and on with the boxing bag. Perfect to train your length muscles for toned legs and sweat like crazy as well!
