We are baaaack! After an 8 hour flight yesterday, we landed home safe. Just can’t believe our 10 days NYFW adventure is already over! Seriously guys, the time flew by. We did so much. From running to one show to another, from trying to see the city in between (especially since it was my mom’s first time in the States). Oh, and not forget about the shopping sessions we had! Got like 7 pair of new shoes there, while another pair was waiting for me when I came home. Guess I need a walk in shoe closet just like Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City haha!
During these days I didn’t post that often, so sorry for that! Guess it was a little blog-break for me as well since I haven’t had that since ages! But, I am so happy to be back and to write about all the adventures we lived in New York, starting with the first one I am sharing today! After we landed on Tuesday, we had a free day to relax, time to land in a total different time zone and start seeing the first bits of the city. Wednesday was the day where it all started! We went to SoHo to see the SS16 collection presentation from Jeffrey Dodd. It was one of the only two presentations we have been to, as we preferred the shows but didn’t want to miss these designers. Glad we didn’t as the collection was absolutely stunning!
As you can see, the collection had many different textures. From super soft suede, to sequins and laser cuts all over. My favorite was definitely the coral sequin sweater. It was super heavy because of the handcrafted (art)work, but so super stunning! Also the soft pink jumpsuit with crochet back was absolutely amazing! For the day I chose to wear an all black outfit with special shapes. This meant a sheer black trenchcoat which I stole from my mom, together with a faux leather shorts and some stunning Valentino heels. Also, I carried around my Chanel BFF almost the whole fashion week as I felt so incredibly proud and confident while wearing it. Hope you liked the first images and cannot wait to show you the rest! Enjoy your weekend! Xo
