ROCKING THE ROCKER SHIRT

A little obsession of mine is the old-school rocker tee lately. I don’t know where they came from, but somehow they were everywhere on the internet. Every blogger I liked was wearing them on their Instagrams and I got so inspired that I needed, no N E E D E D, to get my own one. After searching in every vintage store here in Amsterdam – without success – I decided to look online. I have no idea why I wasted my time by searching so long, because within one shot I found the perfect tees on Miss Guided. So I immediately got myself two shirts, were I am wearing one of today.

What I like so much about rocking the rockers shirt, it that you can style it in so many ways. When buying new items I am always asking myself if it would be an easy item to combine first. If you do this with all the items in your closet, you actually never have to worry about what to wear (and yet I still do haha). Anyway, today I combined the shirt with a super sexy high split skirt from Choies. What I like about this combination is that the tee kind of ‘down grades’ the skirt, so the look is appropriate for the streets. Do you know what I mean?

Other ways to style a rocker tee, besides the basic jeans combinations, is for example with a suit which I did earlier this week. It is just a fun little twist which you give to a formal look. Or think about wearing it with prints, like a leopard skirt for example. Thinking about that, still need to get myself one of those.. Anyway, what do you think about this trend? Do you already got yourself a rock ‘n roll shirt as well? Let me know in the comments! Xx
