And, how are you keeping up with your New Years resolutions? Did you already started working out? I did and it feels good to be back! I already hear you thinking ‘Aren’t you freezing to death in these photos?!’ The answer is Yes, I did. However, we just wanted some cool photos for this post to inspire and motivate you to work out as well. Because after these weeks of eating and drinking, it is really the best time to get in shape before summer!
Believe me or not, but doing sports can help you mentally as well. Going to the gym isn’t in my nature (I actually used to hate it), but since I go to the gym I really feel like I can finally put my energy into something after a day sitting behind my computer. Don’t think about work for a moment and sweat all the laziness out. For me it is the best way to relax after a day of working. I always try to do something else at the gym. Often I start with 20 min cardio to do some weight training afterwards. I combine cycling and running as cardio and combine exercises I know with this I see online. This makes it more fun than doing the same schedule over and over again. Next to that I do love to go for a little run once a week, if the weather allows to ;-).
Something else that motivates me to do sports is new sportswear. Back in the days when used I hate going to the gym, I also didn’t had any good gym clothing. Now that I have more than enough, it feels so much better to workout than working out in an old tee. One of the brands I have been loving is Stronger sportswear. It fits like a second skin, doesn’t shine through when doing a squad (really necessary) and they really have some cool colors and prints. Something for every sport-addict!
Work on those legs and that butt! One of the exercises I have been doing a lot are these. Perfect to strengthen your long muscles and create a nice bikini butt. Do each leg 3 x 20 times for an effective workout.
Abs are my favorite things to do! There are many ways to train them, but something I always do are sit-ups. Not the normal ones, but with a little twist. Lay down and go up to the right side, go back and go up straight and go down again to go up left. Repeat this 3 x 10 times so you did 90 sit-ups in total. Hello 6-pack!
I hate squats, but they are effective so I still do them. You can do a small squat or sumo squat, but the most fun way for me is in a challenge form. One I like doing is the ‘Bring Sally Up‘ challenge. A 3:44 min challenge to really burn those legs and butt!
