We often stay in our comfort zone. Wear our well fitted skinny jeans, go for a t’shirt with blazer or a warm sweater now when it’s colder. But believe me when I say it’s actually quite easy to step out of this comfort zone and improve your style. To be more daring and try out new things. I already wrote a post about how to brighten up your winter wardrobe this winter, but of course this is something you shouldn’t only do now. It’s about a habit you have to break once and for all and really lift your personal style to a new level. And these are the key words you have to follow:
Upgrading your style is probably something you’ve told yourself doing a hundred times, but still you didn’t made a start. That’s exactly the word it all begins with: Start. No more excuses to not wear that new printed shirt and go for your comfortable black turtleneck again. Just pull it off like you have never done before. This also means that you can start small if you feel like you need to. There is nothing wrong with upgrading your style bit by bit. If you just start it’s all allright.
I believe in trends, but I also don’t. With this I mean that I love to get and be inspired by them. Get the things that are hot right now such as ruffled blouses or pleated skirts. But, you shouldn’t wear trends because they’re trends. You should only wear them because you really like it. Flared jeans for example. I have and will always love them. They were HOT last season, but a little bit over now if you have to believe the trend report. Well, not for me because I will never give up on them. So, get inspired by trends to improve your style, but only go for it if it fits you.
BIT BY BIT
So, bit by bit you will get that fashion blogger wardrobe, even if you aren’t one. Make some rules that every outfit should have something out of the comfort zone. No matter if you start with your bag, some earrings or go for an all printed dress. Like I said, it’s all about starting. Implement colors, accessories and prints every time a little more to have your own great, unique and above all improved style.
